WONDER TOUR – Machu Picchu & Sacred Valley 3D/2N

We begin our journey early in the morning, riding out of Cusco and into the stunning Sacred Valley of the Incas. After about an hour on the road, we reach Ollantaytambo, a charming historical town known for its perfectly preserved Inca architecture and stone terraces. We take a short break here to explore, enjoy the views, and capture photos before continuing deeper into the Andes.

From Ollantaytambo, the route climbs steadily toward Abra Málaga, a spectacular Andean mountain pass located at 4,315 m (14,160 ft). As we ascend, the scenery changes dramatically, snow-capped peaks, sweeping valleys, and the majestic Verónica Mountain dominate the landscape, offering some of the most impressive views of the entire ride.

Once we cross the pass, the descent leads us toward the entrance of the upper peruvian Amazon rainforest. We stop at the Alfamayo viewpoint, the perfect place to admire the first lush valleys of the cloud forest. From here, the landscape shifts from high Andean terrain to dense high-jungle vegetation marking the beginning of the Cuzco High Jungle region.

Our route continues through the small town of Santa María and then along a stretch of short tunnels carved into the mountainsides before reaching Santa Teresa, a peaceful jungle village famous for its high-altitude coffee plantations and welcoming local atmosphere.

After another 20 minutes on the road, we arrive at the Hidroeléctrica train station, where we safely park our motorcycles and store our luggage. From here, we begin a scenic 3-hour walk to Aguas Calientes, following the railway through the Upper Peruvian Amazon rainforest, passing waterfalls and listening to the constant sound of the Urubamba River flowing beside us.

We finish the day in Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo), the gateway town to the legendary Inca citadel.

After an energetic breakfast, we take the bus from Aguas Calientes to the Machu Picchu citadel.

Walking through the stone gates feels like stepping into another world. With our expert guide, you’ll explore the most important temples, terraces, and viewpoints while learning about Inca history, architecture, and the cultural meaning behind this ancient city, an essential highlight of any Machu Picchu motorcycle adventure.

After the guided tour, we return to Aguas Calientes for lunch. Once ready, we begin the scenic hike back to Hidroeléctrica, following jungle trails and the old railway line—one of the classic sections for travelers on a motorcycle route to Santa Teresa.

At Hidroeléctrica, we reunite with our motorcycles and ride through cloud-forest valleys until reaching Santa Teresa, a key stop on the Machu Picchu motorcycle route.

In the afternoon, riders can optionally visit the Cocalmayo Hot Springs, famous for their warm, crystal-clear pools surrounded by lush rainforest.
We end the day in Santa Teresa, resting before the next riding stage of our Peru motorcycle adventure

We start the day early in Santa Teresa, riding through the lush cloud forest toward the valley of Santa María. The road gradually opens into wider curves, giving riders a mix of smooth asphalt and light mountain sections—perfect for adventure motorcycles.

From Santa María, we begin the climb toward the high Andes. The landscape shifts dramatically as we ascend the famous Abra Málaga Pass (4,316 m), one of the most iconic riding sections of any motorcycle tour to Machu Picchu. Cold winds, glacier views, and long panoramic curves make this stretch a favorite among riders seeking both scenery and challenge.

Descending from Abra Málaga, we enter the Sacred Valley and reach Ollantaytambo, a living Inca town known for its stone streets and fortress ruins. Here we stop for lunch and enjoy a break before the final ride to Cusco.

The last section follows the Sacred Valley’s smooth highway, surrounded by agricultural terraces, mountains, and traditional Andean villages.
We arrive in Cusco by late afternoon—completing one of the most diverse riding stages of our Peru motorcycle adventure.
