On this tour you’ll visit the incredible Inca citadel of Machu Picchu. Machu Picchu was built during the height of Inca Empire, between the XV and XVI centuries. Its buildings display the classic Inca architectural style, which consists on walls made of carefully placed stones. The citadel is located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, between the Andes and the highland jungles of Peru. Machu Picchu was never discovered nor attacked by the Spanish during the colonial period. However, the citadel was gradually abandoned and remained hidden until the XX century.
