Motorbike Tour Manu National Park – Manu Biking Tour

Your epic Motorbike Tour Manu National Park begins with an early morning ride from Cusco. Our crew will get you kitted out before embarking on this memorable ride through the South Sacred Valley Cusco.

Our first stop will be in the Funeral Towers of Ninamarcal. This pre Inca structure was built during the Lupaca era. Our local expert will be sharing some information about the place and will introduce you to the local tradition.

We will then continue our Manu Biking Tour to Paucartambo. Located at 2906 meters above sea level (9534 ft), Paucartambo is often referred to as the folkloric capital of the Incas. This beautiful town is also home to a colonial church.

After an immersive tour here, we will be stopping for lunch. You will get to savor some local delicacies.

We will then ride up the hill to Acjanaco Pass. It nestles at 3800 meters above sea level (12467 ft). This is the starting point of Manu National Reserve. This is also home to the iconic viewpoint of Tres Cruces.

After contemplating the view of the Amazon basin from here, we will be riding down the hill through the cloud forest (2800m/9186ft). This region is home to the Peruvian National Bird, Andean Cock of the Rock. You will also see Orchid farms, helicoids, ferns etc.

Once you’ve had your fill of these exclusive sights, we will continue with our descent to Kosñipata village (400m/1312ft).

In the evening, we will reach the boat pier in Atalaya. We will be accommodating you in an ensuite hotel room here for the night.

Early in the morning, before sunrise, we will be embarking on a short boat ride to witness the Parrot Clay Lick. This is an unmissable sight in Manu. Different brightly colored parrots fly to lick the clay from the cliff.

The clay here has a distinct mineral content that allows these birds to flush toxins off their bodies. This is more of a ritual practiced by Parrots and Macaws in the Amazon Rainforest. 

After witnessing this, we will be serving breakfast. We will then travel by boat to Cocha Machuhuasi. Here we will be hiking to Machu Huasi Lagoon.

Once on the shores of Machuhuasi Lagoon, we will be boarding the rafts for a one hour tour of the Lagoon. You will have the opportunity to spot different flora and fauna, many of them distinct to the place. Our tour guide will be explaining about them in detail.

The region is home to several different species of monkeys. Which you will be spotting in their natural habitat. 

After this detailed tour, we will return to the lodge for lunch and a short nap. Optionally, you can do horse riding in Kosñipata. 

In the evening, we will do a short hike to see more plants and animals. We will return to the lodge after witnessing the sunset. 

Early in the morning, we will be waking you up to a nice breakfast. All set, we will start our ride back to Cusco. Along the way, we will have many optional stops including the biological station, Pisac town and more. We will be reaching Cusco by 0500 PM.
