Ever dreamed of riding to a legendary Inca bridge made entirely of straw?
Welcome to Q’eswachaka—the last Inca suspension bridge still standing, built without a single nail or piece of metal. Woven by hand from natural plant fibers, this 28.67-meter-long engineering marvel is strong enough to handle livestock and heavy loads—and yes, it’s rebuilt every year in June by four local communities, keeping ancient traditions alive.
This ride isn’t just about the destination—it’s the journey. On this adventure, you’ll blaze through remote Andean landscapes, curve around high-altitude lagoons like Acopia, Pampamarca, Asnacocha, and Pomacanchi, and roll up to historic landmarks like the house of Túpac Amaru II and the Pabellones of the Yanacona volcano.
If you crave dirt roads, ancient culture, and raw nature.
This ride’s for you!
* NOTE: Not recommended during rainy seasons between December and March

The adventure kicks off at our office, where we’ll start with a quick riding orientation. Once everyone’s geared up, we hit the road heading south from Cusco. Our first stop is Cusipata, where a hearty local breakfast will fuel us up for the journey ahead.
Then it’s back on the bikes for another hour of scenic riding until we reach Quehue, home of the legendary Q’eswachaka Inca bridge.
Here, you’ll have time to walk the bridge, explore the surroundings, and listen as your guide shares the powerful story behind this ancient feat of Inca engineering—still rebuilt every year using only straw and tradition. We wrap up the day back in Cusipata with a well-deserved, delicious lunch. Afterward, we ride back to Cusco, arriving between 4:30 and 5:00 p.m.—tired, maybe a little dusty, but fully alive.
This is more than a ride. It’s history, culture, and adrenaline all rolled into one.
