Ride through dramatic Andean landscapes with llamas, red peaks, traditional villages, and views of Ausangate, the region’s highest mountain (6,385 m). At the summit, marvel at Vinicunca’s vibrant colors — a natural phenomenon formed by mineral-rich layers shaped over millions of years.

After breakfast, we depart from Cusco at 8:00 AM for a scenic 2.5-hour ride to Cusipata, where we switch to dirt roads toward Pilpinto and Chilluani, passing through Andean villages and stunning mountain views.
We arrive at Pulapatahuasi (4,600 m), the starting point of a 1.5-hour uphill hike to Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca). Along the way, you’ll see llamas, alpacas, and snow-capped peaks. At the summit (5,080 m / 16,600 ft), we rest and enjoy the vibrant, mineral-colored landscapes.
For those who choose the Red Valley extension, we hike an additional 40 minutes round-trip to a viewpoint surrounded by deep red earth and peaceful highland scenery (20 PEN fee).
We return to Cusipata for a buffet lunch (included) before riding back to Cusco, arriving around 5:30 PM.
